Instructor
LuAnn KildayLuAnn retired with 25 years of service as an informal educator from the state of New Mexico. In 2014 LuAnn took her first weaving class and fell in love. In 2018 she started a fiber program at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. She offered classes on floor loom weaving, Colcha Embroidery, spinning, dyeing, and felting and organized the museum’s Fiber Extravaganza.
LuAnn’s passion is spinning wool and using her handspun for tapestry weaving. Small frame looms are her favorite while weaving with her fingers and only a beater. LuAnn tries to spin and weave in her spare time, but teaching science for a local nonprofit takes up most of her time.
