Mending as Art

Learn how to embellish your garments with embroidery using yarn. We will cover basic stitches to reinforce your fabrics and spend some time creating art!

Bring anything you want to embroider with yarn and any specific scrap yarn you would like to use. (I will have yarn available for you to use as well).

  • Skill level All
  • Age appropriate 12+ (minors must have a parent on site)
  • Materials $15 (Includes transfers, stabilizer, embroidery needles, scrap yarn, and book list)
  • Students should bring Anything you want to embellish or mend, and any fun yarn scraps you want to use (Katy will have plenty of yarn if needed)

    Katy Turbeville

    Katy was born and raised in Arkansas. She learned to knit 15 years ago, and has since explored and taught a wide variety of fiber arts. Since 2021 she is the creative brain behind Yarn Adventure Truck, and travels the country full-time with her husband Dean, bringing luxury, hand-dyed yarn to fiber enthusiasts across the US. Katy also provides consulting services for fiber arts businesses.
