Weave a Real Peace Pop-Up
FREE EVENT
Join us on Friday, August 21 for our second annual Weave a Real Peace Pop-Up Event!
Weave A Real Peace (WARP) is a catalyst for improving the quality of life of textile artisans worldwide. Founded in 1992, WARP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with members from across the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Their newsletter is published quarterly telling of textile cooperatives (weaving, spinning, dyeing, basketry, sewing, felting, and more) and other member projects from around the world. WARP hosts an annual meeting in a place rich in regional textile resources or history, as well as monthly Zoom programs about global textile communities.
During the pop-up, join us during extended hours to:
- Listen to presentations on textiles and folk art.

Threads Afar Textiles + Travel
Threads Afar offers small group workshop tours to meet artisans in parts of the world where fiber, natural dyes and folk art prevail. Coming up is Guatemala, Japan, and Laos. Curated by Norma Schafer, Indigenous clothing collections and other handmade goods from Mexico, Guatemala, Japan, and India will be available at Fiber Arts on 4th.
Yarnworker
Liz Gipson founded Yarnworker out of her love for the rigid heddle loom and teaching others to use it. Yarnworker is a space to discover all that the rigid heddle loom has to offer, including helpful FAQs, resource lists, terms to know, blog posts, YouTube videos, an online school, and Yarnworker’s monthly newsletter.
From books and patterns, to online classes and weave-alongs, Yarnworker offers learning tools that help you build your know-how to weave the cloth you want.
