Carders and wool

Fiber Prep: Carding

With Becky Arnold

Calling all felters and spinners! Take your projects to the next level by carding your own fiber.

Carding wool on hand cards creates rolags, a fiber preparation with randomly organized fibers. Use the rolags to spin light, fluffy, insulating woolen-yarn, perfect for creating items like sweaters and blankets.

In this class, learn the technique of carding with hand cards, as well as blending fibers and colors.
