Herringbone Stitch Beaded Necklace

Learn the basics of a beaded herringbone stitch in this class.

We will create a beaded rope using each student’s own color palette. Using size 11 Toho seed beads, create your own patterns with colors of your choice.

Students are encouraged to bring their magnifier if they find working with seed beads a struggle.

  • Skill level Beginner
  • Age appropriate 12+ (minors must have a parent on site)
  • Materials fee $25 (Materials include needle and a large choice of Toho seed beads to use. Thread, scissors and additional needles will be on the table.)
  • Students should bring

    a snack, a drink, and note-taking materials.

    I started weaving on stones with beads about 30 years ago and it evolved from there. I consider my self a multimedia weaver, using beads, yucca, raffia, paper pine needles and rope to create baskets. I also weave with string to create wall hangings and paper cord to sculpt pieces.
