Threadless Pine Needle Basket

Weave pine needles onto themselves with no thread! Learn how to weave baskets with natural materials using coiling techniques.
Students can create a basket or a wall piece. Clean prepped pine-needles will be supplied.
The instructor will give students a small bundle of dried pine needles to take home with the knowledge of how to prep, clean and store them.

- Age appropriate 16+ (minors must have a parent on site)
- Materials fee $20 (Includes cleaned and prepped pine needles)
- Students should bring
a snack, a drink, and note-taking materials.

Carrie BottoI started weaving on stones with beads about 30 years ago and it evolved from there. I consider my self a multimedia weaver, using beads, yucca, raffia, paper pine needles and rope to create baskets. I also weave with string to create wall hangings and paper cord to sculpt pieces.
